Subject: Re: Bilberry and Vitamin E for cataracts
Hello Pirate,
We do not do individual analysis of our herbs, however our clients tell us that our extraction process is more complete than most. In one of our independent lab tests St. Johns Wort has 9% hypericum content, 3% is considered good. So you can assume the anthocyanofides are there. If we tested each product each growing season, {we make over 400 products} the price would have to go way up.
The dosage is 1 drop per pound of Pirates body weight, say 15, morning and night. Our bottle may say 3 times a day but twice is enough, as your dog will need to be on Bilberry for a long time. May I suggest going off Bilberry for a week every four weeks? It helps to maintain the effectiveness of the herb.
We do not work with Vitamins so I cannot recommend a dosage for the Vitamin E, sorry.
Hope this helps,
Regards, Ray

Ray,
Thank you so much for your advice. I hope the Bilberry and Vit. E works. I received the Bilberry today and plan to go to my vet to see if he can monitor whether or not the cataracts stay as they are over several months. Then I'll have him look at Pi again to see if we are on the right track of stopping the progression of the cataracts.
Anyway, I appreciate you answering my email. You have been most helpful.

Hi Ginny,
Hard to say, could be environment, could be toxicity in the food chain. But from a holistic point of view I would clean the blood {Blood Cleanser} and put the dog on Multi Min to make sure they are getting the full range of minerals and trace minerals.
Topically you can put the Goldenseal in the ears.
Hope this helps.

Subject: Mega-Min
My friend Karen Hadik told me you would like to hear how Mega-min helped my dog.
I have a dog that was abandoned and left to die on a country road before he was even seven weeks old. As he great he was depressed and has developed severe skin problems. I tried a lot of things over the years to help him. Most helped him to improve but I was always struggling to keep him healthy and he never seemed to be happy. I saw information about Herbal Pets and decided to try the Mega-min to see what would happen with him
There are no words to express the change that this dog has undergone. His skin is healed. He isn't itching all the time. He now runs all around with energy and plays with my other dog everyday. He never would play before. Yes, he walks around with a happy dog smile, a sparkle in his eyes and a war in his tail. I just wished I had known about it to give it to him earlier in his life. I no longer struggle keeping him healthy; I just hive him Mega-Min.
I ran out for a short period of time and when I put his food in front of him, he smelled the food, looked at me like I had forgotten the best part. He waited and watched me. I think hoping that I would put it on his food. I don't know if he liked the flavor or, his instincts were that this was what he needed but he really likes it and he is a picky eater.

Hello Derek,
Fleas' damn little creatures!
Best defense, diet. Best balanced diet plus, garlic {liquid of coarse} a little brewers yeast, crushed tablets of Zinc powder and some barley greens to moist food. What you are doing is building up the immune system. If you got them you can spray the animal with our Echinacea/Goldenseal spray, also good for prevention.
Worms , parasites, funny you would ask about this today as I just bought some canned food for my cat to mix our WORMEX into. Missy is finished with the mice patrol for this year so I will clean her up, just for prevention. Dosages are by weight; Missy is 10 pounds, so 10 drops twice a day for 5 days break for 2 or 3 to let any eggs hatch and 5 more days to catch anymore that are alive. Bottle costs $20.00, there are 1800 drops so I am going to use about 200 drops for this cleanse, thus I could do about 9-10 pound cats for $20.00. Very reasonable, and we have used this formula for 20 plus years…
Please call me, as I would like to ask you some questions about our Ailment Index on our Web site.

Dear Gang at Ralph's U-Wash;
After reading and hearing about the benefits of Chamomile for shedding we decided to give it a try with our two dogs. On is a 14-year-old Beagle cross and the other a 3 year old Bassett hound (who was the worst of the shedders.) After a couple of months, we noticed that the daily tumbleweeds of dog hair weren't collecting on the floor and the boys seemed a lot calmer too. And instead of becoming instantly coated when petting and playing with the hounds, we don't have to keep a lint brush in our back pockets.
Many thanks for the info, and we have already started spreading the word to all our canine owned friends.
Sincerely,
Mr. & Mrs. P. Hicks

Eliminex & Dermatech Ointment
Hi,
Just a few words about your amazing products,
One year ago, my old friend, a Chinese Shar-pie's, skin started to split open as much as ¼” on different parts of this legs, especially his feet, which were so swollen he couldn't walk. His skin was so dry his fur became brittle and started to fall out completely, the poor guys energy was gone. I felt my friend's time had come, after all he was 12 years old.
I run a pet shop in Nfld., where I carry a large variety of dog products, one being your brand “Naturpet.” I tried your products B-CL Detoxifier on my dog for two months. I also covered him with Black Ointment for the same length of time. Next I put him on Multi-Min vitamins and minerals. I could not believe it; my dog became young again. His skin and coat became nothing but fabulous! No hair less, just perfect. His energy came back ten fold, so much so I put him out for stud service.
Since then, no problems of any kind have returned. So now you know there is a way to prolong the health and life of your dog (709-643-6081)-(Pets-R-Rus)

Subject: Jasper
Hello,
I am writing you to ask for your advice/suggestions on products, etc. in treating my cat, Jasper. He is 15 years old, and has had chronic ear problems. Finally, the vet discovered a large polyp in his ear, and they performed surgery this March to remove it. Since then he has been doing much better, and no sign of any polyp returning, however, I had to take him to the vet recently when his ear flared up again, and he had a bacterial infection. I have tired all natural (supposed) drops in his ear, but they just inflame his ear even more. He is on a raw food diet, but he still has chronic itching and intermittent inflammation. Although he is much better now that the polyp has been removed, over the last year he has had several flare ups with his ear and has been on oral prednisone and batril ear drops. PLEASE HELP!

Malia,
Gee 15 years old that great. The cat is bound to get problems at some times so perhaps the ear is a God sent. To many cats pass on from urinary tract problems, which I believe is caused by toxicity from the factory cat foods.
Organic veggies are great, a little brewers yeast may help, some of those powdered greens could be added, maybe some zinc capsules crushed up into a powder. Of course the best water you can afford. I am lucky here on the Mt. As I have spring water.
You might try our Senior Tonic and or the Mega-Min for the minerals and trace minerals. Don't know if you should bother with cleaning up the kidney/bladder and liver because of the cat's age. Your call on that one, K&B extract and Milk thistle are the formulas.
Do you have time to call me 1-877-206-5940; I will ask you about the Ailment Section on the web.
Thx Ray Hunt
